Why Ghee

Bree is a spirited and standout font that takes its inspiration from handwriting. It's sure to grab your reader's attention, especially in short paragraphs.

Why Ghee is better for you?

According to the USDA the per capita consumption of butter increased by a huge 16.6% in the years between 2008-2018. While one might find butter to be delicious, it is also full of unhealthy fats and may be challenging for those who are lactose intolerant. Ghee on the other hand, has only the good fats.

But don’t fats result in obesity? Research shows that Simple carbohydrates, namely refined sugar, have been directly linked with obesity and diabetes. Further, unlike man-made margarine and shortening, Ghee is a natural, clean label that has also evolved into alternative medicine for health and wellness.

Faq's of Ghee

What are “good fats”?

Good fats exist ! Infact they are essential for our body and mind to perform at their highest levels. One should avoid ‘bad fats’ such as trans fats or hydrogenated oils such as margarine. Good fats in Ghee, Avocado, nuts, seeds and fish should be an essential part of diet as they support good gut health and immunity.

Why Grass-fed?

A lot of our customers ask how are grassfed products better, or is grass fed better than organic?

Simply put, YES, its better. Grass fed has more omega-3 fatty acids, more quantity of CLA (conjugated linoleic acid), vitamin A, Vitamin K2, Butyrate. So, in short, More Vitamins, More Antioxidants, More Good Fats. Grass is a natural diet for cows and happy cows yield better milk.

Is ghee actually good for me?

Absolutely! Healthy fats such as ghee, avocado and nuts are good for the body and mind. Ghee is particularly good for you because it is vitamin rich, easy to digest, is a high heat cooking oil. When you cook with ghee, all of the nourishment from your food is easily absorbed into the body while also supporting digestion. Ghee is also known to support and calm the mind. To add to this our Ghee brings the added benefits from a grass-fed diet.

How do I cook with Ghee?

Ghee is a source of Butyric Acid which promotes good digestion and elimination by keeping the gut lining healthy and protected while also calming inflammation.

Does Ghee go bad?

Ghee is free from any milk solids and has very little to no moisture in it, so it lasts really long. In addition to it, you don’t even need to refrigerate it. Although, to add a word of caution, never double dip a spoon in your ghee jar, it can add moisture and cause the ghee to mould.

Ghee or Butter?

Ghee is hands down better than butter. Butter is full of unhealthy fat and may be challenging for those who are lactose intolerant. Not to forget the gut support and antioxidant properties of ghee. Our flavored ghees are delicious and can be used as a spread or for high temperature cooking.

How is a High Smoke point a big deal?

Oils burn at high temperatures during cooking and can get easily overheated! When you overheat your oil, it turns into unhealthy trans-fat. Oils such as Coconut, Olive and Canola have 18-28% lower smoke point than Ghee.
